New Nintendo System Coming Just In Time For The Holidays… If You Can Find It

Nintendo

Well, it is a new Nintendo system, but it plays old games and we couldn’t be more excited. Just in time to reminisce with family and friend over the holidays.

In November, Nintendo is releasing a mini version of the original Nintendo Entertainment System.

That’s right a very tiny system that can fit in the palm of your hand but it already has 30 games already built in. (See full game list below.)

What a dream come true! You won’t have to blow on another NES cartridge to get it to work.

Remember the awesome A B controller? The new gamepad controller is modeled after the original and looks just like it, which is totally awesome.

The best thing is, you don’t have to find rare adapters or old televisions to make it work. NES mini will come with HDMI cables to hook up to your TV and the controller slots will work with Wii or Wii U remotes as well.

Ok we lied, the very best thing is that it will only cost $59.99. That is just $10 more that I paid K-Mart for my copy of The Legend of Zelda when it came out and the cost of a single game now.

There is one major drawback though… it may be as hard to find as the original system was when it came out.

In August the system was put on Amazon quietly for pre-orders and it sold out in just a few minutes. Like most Nintendo products, this one could turn out to be highly collectable.

This is something we really want here at Gentleman Nerd, and we’ll update you on when and where to get one!
